An observable class for \(R_\tau^0=\Gamma(Z\to {\rm hadrons})/\Gamma(Z\to \tau^+ \tau^-)\).
This class is used to compute the ratio of the \(Z\)-boson hadronic width to the \(Z\to \tau^+ \tau^-\) width:
\[ R_\tau = \frac{\Gamma_h}{\Gamma_\tau}\,. \]
Lepton-flavour universality is not assumed.
